2. Processing when visiting this website

This website is deliberately built lean. It uses no cookies, no tracking, no analytics tools, no social media plugins and no external fonts or scripts. All content is served exclusively from our own server. No data is therefore transmitted to third parties when you visit this site.

When the site is accessed, the hosting provider automatically records server log files transmitted by your browser. These are:

the page visited or the name of the file requested
date and time of the request
amount of data transferred and notification of successful retrieval
browser type and version used
the user's operating system
referrer URL
IP address in shortened or anonymised form

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically flawless operation and the security of the website. Log files are deleted after seven days at the latest. This data is not merged with other data sources.

3. Contacting us by e-mail

If you write to us by e-mail using one of the links on this website, we process the data you provide (name, e-mail address, content of your message) exclusively in order to deal with your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Your enquiry will be deleted once it has been conclusively processed and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

There is deliberately no contact form on this website — your message goes directly through your own e-mail programme.

4. Processing in connection with a booking or a stay

If you rent a bungalow, a room or the entire property from us, we collect the following information:

form of address, first name, surname, and where applicable those of fellow travellers
a valid e-mail address
postal address
telephone number (landline and/or mobile)
arrival and departure dates and details required to provide the agreed service
where applicable, photographs and video recordings during a retreat or workshop

This data is collected in order to identify you as a guest, to advise you appropriately and to provide the agreed services, for correspondence with you, for invoicing, and for handling any liability claims and asserting claims.

Processing takes place at your request and is necessary under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the provision of our service and the mutual fulfilment of obligations arising from the contract. The personal data collected is stored until the statutory retention period expires and is then deleted, unless we are obliged under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR to store it for longer due to tax and commercial law retention and documentation obligations, or unless you have consented to storage beyond that period under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

5. Disclosure of data to third parties

Your personal data is not transferred to third parties — with the exception of photographs and video recordings. Where you have consented, such recordings may be published on the website and on the controller's social media channels, which constitutes a disclosure to third parties.

6. Your rights

You have the right:

under Art. 7(3) GDPR to withdraw consent you have given us at any time. As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing that was based on this consent;
under Art. 15 GDPR to request information about the personal data we process about you;
under Art. 16 GDPR to request the immediate correction of inaccurate personal data or the completion of personal data stored by us;

under Art. 77 GDPR to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace.

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right under Art. 21 GDPR to object to the processing where grounds arise from your particular situation. This website is delivered exclusively encrypted via HTTPS (TLS). We also use technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or against access by unauthorised persons.

In the footer of this website you will find links and QR codes to Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn as well as to the websites of Bahari #4.0 and Qimonie. These are plain links: no content from these providers is loaded and no data is transmitted to them unless you click such a link yourself. Only then do the privacy terms of the respective provider apply.
